The Human Resource Center provides support to our students, parents and staff. Pattonville's selection process is one of the finest in the country and we are committed to providing the best candidate for each position available.

Our staff brings diverse knowledge and unique experiences, which allows each member of the Human Resource Center to make positive contributions to our district and its patrons.

Tom Morgan, Ph.D. - Assistant Superintendent, Human Resource Center

Dr. Tom Morgan is Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. He is responsible for the selection of school employees, personnel, and some growth and development activities.

Dr. Morgan has a variety of experiences as an educational professional. Tom began his career as a science teacher. Three years later, as a graduate student, he joined the University of Iowa where he held positions as a lecturer, instructor and a coordinator for four years. During this time, he also completed his Masters and Ph.D. in Science Education and School Administration. For the past twenty plus years, he has held central office administrative positions in schools in Iowa, Wyoming, and Missouri.

Tom and his wife, Dianne, are the parents of two successful Pattonville alumni, both who are college graduates. The family has a commitment to a lifestyle of learning, growing and developing.

David Besgrove- Personnel Coordinator

David Besgrove joined our staff in October 2002 as the Personnel Coordinator. After graduating from the Pattonville School District, he earned a Bachelors of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri. David comes to Pattonville after spending a number of years working for a staffing and placement company in the St. Louis area. As Personnel Coordinator, David's primary duties are Contract (Stipendiary, Probationary, and Tenure), Administrator of the Retirement Incentive Plan (RIP), Student Teacher Placement, Teacher Certification, Personnel Issues, District Policies and PSNEA alternative. David is excited to be a member of the Pattonville family again.

Joyce Bowdish - Call Center Coordinator

In 1982, Joyce began her career as an employee for Pattonville. She is also a Pattonville graduate. Joyce's main focus in the Human Resource Center is to place substitute teachers. Joyce's bright cheerful voice has awakened many substitutes in the early morning hours with a request to cover a classroom. Her positive energy and sincere appreciation have helped to make certain that all classes are covered each day. Joyce is a people person and she is dedicated to her job and is able to communicate effectively with anyone. She knows a great deal about the District and is always willing to assist in any way she can. Joyce also has many other duties in the Human Resource Center which include: advertising all vacant positions, orientating all staff new to the District and composing the care list. Joyce has two children. One attends Hazelwood West High School and one attends Remington Traditional School. Joyce's husband is also an employee of the district. Joyce truly believes that she and her family are one of the many families which encompasses the Pattonville family.

TeKay Brown - Secretary

TeKay Brown joined the Human Resource Center staff in July, 2007. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, she became part of the Pattonville family in 2005 as an assistant in the Facilities department. There her responsibilities quickly allowed her to become familiar with district operations and procedures. Since her transition to HR, TeKay has taken on many responsibilities including minority recruiting, administrative searches, providing mentors for new hires and building transfers, and duties with the Calendar, Job Review, and Teacher Evaluation committees. TeKay is excited about her new job. Her enthusiasm to serve Pattonville and its children is apparent through her welcoming smile.

Ida Cothrine - Secretary

Ida Cothrine joined the Human Resource Center staff in September 2004. Ida brings with her over 16 years of experience in the Administrative Assistant field. While in college, Ida's field of study was elementary education, including experience in practice teaching. Ida has four children, all young adults. She is excited about her position here in Pattonville Human Resources. Primary duties involve sending applications and processing returned application materials from administrative, certified and support candidates in all areas. Ida coordinates interview schedules for candidates and works closely with the HRC administrator, building administrators/supervisors to develop candidate lists for building/department level interviews, works with HRC administrator to process employment recommendations to the Board of Education for approval. Ida has a warm, pleasant demeanor which allows anyone entering the Human Resource Center for the first time to feel comfortable.

Patricia Richardson - Secretary

Patricia Richardson joined the Human Resource Center staff in August, 2006. Patricia is a 1977 Pattonville graduate. Previously, Patricia spent 18 years at Rose Acres Elementary as a clerical assistant and one year in the Technology Department as a clerical assistant. She is excited to be working in the Human Resource Center. Duties include Core Data, tuition reimbursement, graduate approval, salary advancement, NBCT candidates, teacher certification, and financial work involving the budget and accounts payable.
